From the age of 13 I started my journey into a career in Carpentry and Joinery, when I did work experience with a small local joinery shop run by a father and son team. After my work experience finished I was eager to start an apprenticeship and continued to come and help out in school holidays until I was old enough to start my apprenticeship. As I started my apprenticeship the father slowly took a step back into retirement as my skills progressed.

After 8 or 9 years my time with them  came to an end and I went out on my own as a self employed site carpenter, working on the Hyde park estates in London, restoring listed property’s around the Hyde park area for the church commission.

After my youngest daughter was bourn I took a job with a local firm so I could spend more time with my young family. Here i ran all of the jobs I worked on. Here I got to work and run jobs on listed buildings including private schools, pubs and mansions.

After many years of doing this I decided to go back out on my own offering a mobile joinery service and a full construction business, this brought me full circle back to my love of joinery and with the funding from one of my clients managed to secure joinery machinery and a workshop to work in, where I now find myself building a business for my whole family to become part of as they grow older.
